Some Tottenham fans on social media are happy with Daniel Levy’s decision to knock back an approach from Ajax for Davinson Sanchez.
The Eredivisie side apparently approached Spurs with a view to bringing Sanchez back to Amsterdam this month, but the north London outfit have informed the Dutch side that he’s not going anywhere.
Sanchez hasn’t been the most consistent performer for Tottenham this season, but it’s fair to say that fans were pleased to hear that he wasn’t leaving this month.
Some fans weren’t against the idea of moving Sanchez on in the summer, but with Spurs still competing in four competitions, they understood the importance of having depth at the back.
Spurs aren’t blessed with a plethora of talent at centre-back, so much so that Jose Mourinho reportedly wanted another defender through the door this month, so letting Sanchez go at this point would appear to be rather counter-productive.
