Sheldon’s mother, Mary, drives her son to campus but the young genius insists that he explores the facilities alone, fearing that she would ‘cramp his style.’

Instead, Mary heads off to the campus café where she bumps into Sam, a fellow physics student who Sheldon clashed with in season 3, episode 15.

While Sheldon gets into all manner of trouble on his own, Mary, meanwhile, has a great time touring the campus with Sam and meeting some of the college’s students.

Who plays Sam in Young Sheldon?

Sam was first introduced to the series in the season 3 episode, A Boyfriend’s Ex-Wife and a Good Luck Head Rub, where she worked with Sheldon on a group project.

She returns in season 4 quickly makes friends with Sheldon’s mother.
