Singer- songwriter Randy Parton has passed away aged 67 after a battle with cancer, Dolly Parton informed fans on January 21st 2020.
Randy was born in 1953 in Tennessee, and has 11 siblings, including famous country singer, Dolly Parton.
Dolly paid tribute to her brother on her social media accounts, where she wrote that he is survived by “his wife Deb, his daughter Heidi, son Sabyn, grandsons Huston and Trent.”

Singer songwriter, Randy Parton, has passed away age 67. Dolly Parton, his sister, shared the news with fans and friends on her Facebook page as well an on Instagram. She wrote:
“My brother Randy has lost his battle with cancer. The family and I are grieving his loss but we know he is in a better place than we are at this time. We are a family of faith and we believe that he is safe with God and that he is joined by members of the family that have gone on before and have welcomed him with joy and open arms.”
Dolly also shared several of Randy’s achievements throughout his career, mentioning that he was a “great singer, writer and entertainer.”

Randy Parton was born to parents Robert and Avie Lee Parton, and grew up near the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee’s Sevier County along with his 11 siblings.
The six boys and six girls were named Willadeene, David Wilburn, Coy Denver, Dolly Rebecca, Bobby Lee, Stella Mae, Cassie Nan, Randel Huston “Randy,” Larry Gerald, Estel Floyd, and twins Freida Estelle and Rachel Ann.
Randy and Dolly collaborated several times throughout their careers, which Dolly touched on in her Facebook post about him. She said:
“He sang, played guitar and bass in my band for many years. He headed his own show at Dollywood since it opened in 1986. He’s had several chart records of his own, but his duet with me on “Old Flames Can’t Hold A Candle To You” will always be a highlight in my own career.”
