West Ham United boss David Moyes is determined to keep Issa Diop after claims that Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho wants him, the Daily Mail report.
Diop has fallen out of favour at West Ham in recent weeks, which has led to speculation over his future.
The Daily Mirror (5 January, page 57) said that Tottenham boss Mourinho was keen to sign Diop, who he has previously called ‘fantastic’ (BT).
But it seems that Moyes still believes the Frenchman has a first-team future at the London Stadium.
The West Ham boss’s stance surely makes any deal difficult for Tottenham now, as they are not exactly flushed with cash.

Mourinho does seem open to bringing in a new central defender this month, but in all likelihood any deal will have to wait until the summer.
At that stage Diop’s future could be discussed again, unless he has broken back into West Ham’s team between now and then.
