Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has suffered a ‘minor’ muscle strain, according to the Athletic’s James Pearce.
Henderson missed Liverpool’s game with Burnley last night, and details about his injury were thin on the ground.
The club tweeted that he had a fitness problem, while Jurgen Klopp said he was ‘feeling something’.
It now transpires that the issue was a muscle strain, but the news that problems is only a small one is a huge bonus.
Henderson was clearly missed in his absence for Liverpool last night, as they were downed by Burnley.
The Reds were beaten 1-0 with Ashley Barnes scoring a late penalty to secure the three points for Sean Dyche’s men.

With Liverpool suffering so badly with injury and the club struggling for form, they can hardly afford to be without their talismanic captain for a lengthy period of time.
And from Pearce’s latest update it seems that Henderson’s absence will not be a long one, which will be a relief to everyone around Anfield.
