The Scot managed the 23-year-old during his stint in the Basque region, so it is interestingly to see the Hammers targeting his services.
Real Sociedad’s captain is enjoying a fine season so far.
The Spanish side’s No.10 has already netted ten goals for club and country this term, including seven strikes in 14 La Liga outings.
Oyarzabal also has four La Liga assists this term, as well as one Supercopa de Espana goal and two Nations League strikes for Spain.

Interestingly, the Spain international is a player who has piqued the interest of Pep Guardiola before.
Mundo Deportivo said that the Manchester City boss is in love with Oyarzabal’s style of play, and that comes as no surprise whatsoever.
The Spaniard seems to already be a fine attacker who knows how to score goals, while he has plenty of time on his side to get even better.
His potential is frightening, and West Ham would be pulling off a major coup if they can bring him to east London.
