Sokratis’s future at Arsenal should be decided this week, Dharmesh Sheth has said on Sky Sports News.
Sokratis appears to be heading out of the exit door at Arsenal, with his exit edging ever closer.
The 32-year-old has seemingly been on the verge of leaving for some time, but he still remains at the Emirates Stadium for the time being.

Sokratis has seen a number of clubs show interest in him, but they have been unable to force through a deal to date.
And Arsenal could now actually look at tearing up his contract, such is their desire to let him go, according to the latest update.
Sokratis appears to have no future in Mikel Arteta’s first-team, and Sheth says that the Gunners may think about letting him leave as a free agent.

“Sokratis’s future should be sorted this week, the priority for Arsenal is to sell him,” the Sky reporter said.
“The other thing that could happen with Sokratis is that they could come up with a compromise where they pay up part or all of the remaining six months, and then he could leave as a free agent.”
Arsenal have already made a similar move with Mesut Ozil, who is set to be allowed to leave for Fenerbahce as a free agent.
While Arsenal will be making a sizeable loss on both players, getting their wages off their books could be key.
Sokratis is on a fairly big salary with Arsenal, and his departure may give Arteta more freedom to make new signings.
