Some Southampton fans on Twitter have been reacting to reports linking Danny Ings with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
As you can probably imagine, Saints fans weren’t best pleased with the idea of their top scorer swapping the south coast for north London.
Ings has enjoyed something of a resurgence at Southampton, netting 21 league goals last season, and following that up with seven goals in 13 Premier League appearances this term.
It’s no surprise to see that Ings has caught the eye of a club of Spurs’ calibre, but it’s clear to see that Southampton fans aren’t happy with this.

Of course, fans are bound to want him to stay, after all, there’s a strong argument to make that he’s their best player, but aside from that, some supporters think this would be a poor career move.
How Will Mesut Özil Be Remembered At Arsenal?
Ings has already played for one of England’s top clubs, spending time with Liverpool earlier in his career, but due to injuries and an oversaturation of attacking quality, he found minutes hard to come by at Anfield.
With Harry Kane and Heung-min Son looking like two of the best attackers in England right now, it’s hard to imagine that he’d get a starting berth at Tottenham, but of course, that remains to be seen.
Here’s what Southampton fans have been saying on social media…
He’s stupid if he goes, he won’t ever get a game. He won’t be picked for England because he won’t be a regular player there.

* why did he go Liverpool, same situation.
* they have champions league football most seasons
* Jose factor (he does have that, whether you like him or not)
* kane plays deeper now and he might be off in the summer, who knows.I really hope he stays, but as saints fan we know

All signs point towards him leaving god knows I want him to stay but just can’t see it happening while Gao is sucking the life out of the club refusing to pay his wage and Ings himself wanting to win trophy’s and play in Europe
