West Ham United could miss out on a potential Sebastien Haller replacement in Boulaye Dia, as their Premier League rivals are now pushing ahead in the battle to sign him, Le10 Sport suggests.
West Ham have had an eye on the Reims forward for much of the month so far, as they have targeted a striker following Haller’s move to Ajax.
Dia has impressed in Ligue 1 this term, and currently leads the goalscoring charts in France top flight.
But his form hasn’t just attracted the attentions of West Ham.
Crystal Palace and Fulham are also said to be keen on the 24-year-old, and the pair have both made contact to sign him.
Dia doesn’t actually appear to be West Ham’s first choice target any more.
But if he was to make a move to Palace or Fulham before West Ham had snapped up a new number nine it could be a concern, as it would limit David Moyes’s side’s potential options to buy.
