Pokémon Go has had a busy start to the new year with a Sinnoh event having recently just finished. Kyogre and Groudon return to Raids which is fantastic news for trainers, in addition to the Sinnoh region having been replaced by Hoenn with its own Collection Challenge. Here you’ll find everything you must know about the Pokémon Go Hoenn Collection Challenge, and you’ll also find the event’s field research tasks and rewards.
In addition to the return of Kyogre and Groudon in Raids, January 19th is also home to a Shroomish spotlight hour for trainers to participate in. While these are things that can be enjoyed today, the Raids will continue on the 26th with a surprise encounter, meanwhile the much-anticipated Kanto Tour is scheduled for next month.
While the Kanto Tour is the ultimate end goal, below you’ll find everything you must know about the Pokémon Go Hoenn Collection Challenge including the event’s field research tasks and rewards.
Pokémon Go Hoenn event field research tasks and rewards
The field research tasks and rewards for the Pokémon Go Hoenn event are as follows:
- Power up Pokémon five times – encounter with Aron (S)
- Power up Pokémon nine times – encounter with Wailmer (S)
- Catch eleven Pokémon – encounter with Pulse (S), Minun (S)
- Catch three Pokémon with weather boost – encounter with Treecko (S), Torchic (S), Mudkip (S)
In addition to the above field research task and rewards for the Hoenn event, there is also the following timed research:
- Catch two Kyogre – ten Kyogre Candy
- Catch two Groudon – ten Groudon Candy
- Catch 30 Pokémon – 30 Poké Balls
- Rewards: 3,000 XP, one Silver Pinap Berry, encounter with Rayguaza
Pokémon Go Hoenn Collection Challenge
The Pokémon Go Hoenn Collection Challenge is as follows:
You need to catch all of the above creatures to complete the Pokémon Go Hoenn event Collection Challenge.
The rewards for completing the Pokémon Go Hoenn Collection Challenge are three Silver Pinap Berries, 5,000 XP, and Incense.
All of the creatures can be encountered via the Wild and 5km Eggs, but Pulse, Minun, and Wailmer can only be encountered through the field research tasks and rewards.
