When will Lupin part 2 be on Netflix? Has a release date for the second batch of episodes been confirmed? Let’s take a look.

Last year ushered in a wealth of terrific Netflix content.

Film fans were treated to new efforts from the likes of David Fincher (Mank), Charlie Kaufman (I’m Thinking of Ending Things), Spike Lee (Da 5 Bloods) and more, while TV lockdown hits included Tiger King, The Queen’s Gambit and Unsolved Mysteries.

Fortunately, subscribers have already found lots to enjoy in 2021 too, with such recent additions as the heartbreaking drama film Pieces of a Woman, documentary series Night Stalker, Disenchantment season 3, and of course, Lupin.

This French-language crime series is based on the popular character of detective Arsène Lupin, created in 1905 by Maurice Leblanc.

Audiences have watched Omar Sy bring him to life in Lupin Part 1, which is made up of five episodes in total.

When will Lupin Part 2 be on Netflix?

  • A release date for Lupin part 2 is yet to be confirmed but Netflix has confirmed it will premiere in 2021.

This was highlighted by Metro.

Looking at previous Netflix seasons that have been split into parts, it’s likely that more Lupin episodes could arrive as early as April.

Part 1 of Unsolved Mysteries was released in July 2020, with part 2 following in October.

So, perhaps Lupin part 2 will similarly follow on from the previous episodes after around three months.

The Cinemaholic includes that the new episodes are already in the works.

As of yet, the series is yet to be renewed for a second season. However, it’s likely that Netflix will consider the viewing figures of both parts very carefully before giving it the greenlight.

The streamer cancelled a range of shows in 2020, citing that the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the decision on a number of occasions. So, with Lupin being such a recent addition, it’s arguably way too early for concrete renewal news
