Gilberto Silva has praised Arsenal right-back Cedric Soares on Twitter for his performance against Newcastle United on Monday evening.
The Arsenal legend was pleased with the Gunners’ 3-0 win against Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League.
Silva was impressed by a number of players, and one of them was right-back Cedric.
The Arsenal great described the performance of the 29-year-old Portugal international right-back – who earns £75,000 per week as salary as Spotrac – as “fantastic”.

Cedric has had injury problems during his time at Arsenal and has not really been able to show what he is capable of.
Against Newcastle on Monday evening, the former Southampton star played well and was a problem for the Newcastle back-line and defended well, too.
In what was Cedric’s first Premier League start of the season, he provided an assist too.
According to WhoScored, the Portuguese right-back played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 87%, won three headers, took 90 touches, attempted one dribble, made two clearances, and put in eight crosses.
