Many will be familiar with the life of Phil Spector, the former US music producer.

On Monday, January 18th 2021, the BBC reported that he has passed away while serving a prison sentence for murder. He was 81.

He had worked with musicians from The Beatles to Tina Turner and is generally regarded as an individual who changed the very face of pop music, producing 20 top 40 hits between 1961 and 1965.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed his death: “California Health Care Facility inmate Phillip Spector was pronounced deceased of natural causes at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at an outside hospital. His official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner in the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.”

This is the price for the Standard Definition rental and is the cheapest option, with the HD rental priced at £3.49.

You can also purchase the film for £7.99. It didn’t receive a DVD or Blu-ray release in the UK.

Alternatively, you can buy the movie from £7.99 over on YouTube or Google Play. It is currently unavailable to access on any streaming service for free, so Amazon serves as the cheapest option.

Looking back, the film was actually made for television and released on HBO back in March 2013.
