It’s been a dreadful season for Gareth Bale back at Tottenham Hotspur, it must be said.
Bale secured a fairytale return to North London in September, but it’s been anything but a fairytale since then.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has only given the 31-year-old 160 minutes of Premier League football following his season-long loan from Real Madrid.
Even on Wednesday, Mourinho played Moussa Sissoko, a midfielder, out wide instead of the Wales international.

The report from Alasdair Gold claims that Bale is still ‘loving life’ at Tottenham and has been compared to an ‘excitable child’ in training at Hotspur Way for his cheery demenaour.
Despite only playing four times in the Premier League, it seems that Bale remains upbeat about his comeback and hopefully for Mourinho, his off-the-field contentment will lead to on-the-pitch heroics at some point.
It was reported by The Times this week that Tottenham had no plans to activate their option to sign him on loan for a second season, but there’s still more than enough time for the former Southampton whiz to change their mind.
