Liverpool have a massive game on Sunday and thankfully, Jurgen Klopp potentially has a big boost in the form of Joel Matip.
The Cameroon centre-back has been yoyo-ing in and out of the treatment room in recent months.
Matip, a free signing by Klopp in 2016, is facing a race against time to be fit for Liverpool tomorrow.
The Premier League champions welcome old rivals Manchester United to Anfield in a top-of-the-table clash.
And although Matip was a big doubt after sitting out training earlier in the week, pictures emerged on Friday of the player taking part in Klopp’s training session.
Having him available would be an enormous piece of good news for Liverpool, given that Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are already sidelined.
And here’s how fans of the Old Trafford club reacted to Matip’s potential involvement on Twitter:
Liverpool are three points behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and given how erratic the Reds have been in recent weeks, taking two points from the last nine on offer, they can’t afford to lose tomorrow.
