It looks like Dele Alli will NOT be leaving Tottenham Hotspur this month.
The 24-year-old is heavily linked with a move away from North London after becoming an anonymous man under Jose Mourinho.
The Spurs boss has only given him 75 minutes of Premier League football this season, so links to Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain can be no surprise.
Alli spent 90 minutes on the bench in midweek as Mourinho’s side were held to a home draw with Fulham, with the England international posted an exasperated selfie on social media after the game – a clear indication of how frustrated he is.
But according to The Telegraph, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has every intention of blocking his departure this month in fear that it’ll leave Mourinho a tad short.
Here’s how Lilywhites fans reacted to the report on Twitter:
If we’re honest, 75 minutes of Premier League football is a joke and Alli is perfectly justified in being ticked off.
Tottenham are lacking a number 10 this season and there are some games – like Wednesday, for example – where it really does cost the team, so you can see why Levy is reluctant to let him go.
