Daniil Medvedev has shared a video of his hotel accommodation in Melbourne – and let’s just say the Russian isn’t slumming it.

Australian Open players have arrived in the capital of Victoria and are now just beginning a lengthy 14-day quarantine.

But hold back any empathy for now – until you see the plush hotel Medvedev is staying in.

The world number four shared the video on Instagram – tweeted by We Are Tennis.

Medvedev and others can spend five hours out of room per day

Medvedev, and the rest of the players, won’t just be consigned to their room either.

Players will be permitted five hours per day out of their room – two to practice, two to go to the gym, and one to eat. (Sport Business)

They will be tested continually throughout quarantine with extra benefits afforded as time goes on.

You would doubt all players would be in quite as luxurious surroundings as Medvedev – who has scooped over £10million in earnings so far. (ATP)

But those tennis stars aren’t slumming it quite as much as many of us will have imagined.

Let’s hope it means they’re all at the top of their game come February.
