How did the hoax started?

It appears that the social media hoax started after a Twitter post that claimed James “has been hospitalised”, alongside a mugshot picture of the YouTuber.

However, the image circulated on the internet is actually a make-up challenge look that James created as seen in a TikTok video.

What has James Charles been up to?

As a YouTuber and content creator, James has been busy sharing new make-up tutorials and vlogs for his 25 million subscribers on his channel.

In his latest video (January 12th), James messaged a “few friends” such as Bobby Brown, Sienna Mae Gomez, Doja Cat, Emma Chamberlain, and asked them to draw a make-up look.
