Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter, where they’ve ordered Jurgen Klopp to start Xherdan Shaqiri against Manchester United on Sunday.
Now, this would be a big call from the former Borussia Dortmund boss.
Why? Well, so far this season, the Switzerland international has only played 86 minutes of Premier League football for the Reds.

He has largely been a peripheral figure, so it would be a huge call to start him in Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash at Anfield.
However, you could also argue that Shaqiri is exactly what Liverpool need.
In recent games against Newcastle and Southampton, the Reds have lacked creativity and have failed to break down their opponents.

In our view, that was because the midfield – aside from Thiago – was lacking creativity.
Specifically, Georginio Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were culpable of this, as WhoScored shows they failed to record a single key pass between them against the Saints recently.
Shaqiri is among Liverpool’s most creative players, but he is far from a regular starter under Klopp.
The 29-year-old has started just twice this term – once in the Champions League, and once in the Carabao Cup.
It truly would be a major decision for the German to start the former Inter Milan and Bayern Munich maestro.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying…

Yes I would start @XS_11official on Sunday vs Man U, his on form and creates chances, a very good highly rated player top class 👍
