Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most anticipated games of all time prior to its launch, but – since its release – CD Projekt RED’s image as a champion of gamers has been battered to the point where their co-founder has needed to apologise for its state at launch. However, while the apology video could either show CD Projekt RED’s integrity or be viewed with cynicism, we did get a vague release date for update 1.07 and the January patch. Here’s when you can expect update 1.07 to come out as the January patch for Cyberpunk 2077.

While it’s good that CD Projekt RED have apologised for its state at launch and have committed to improving the game through patches and DLC, some people will feel that the game is irreparable as the cut content will not be restored as suggested by a GamesFAQs post from an alleged CD Projekt RED employee. Some cut content could possibly be restored via free DLC as well as – hopefully – features such as barbers, but the game will seemingly not become the ‘original vision’ as implied by the GamesFAQs post.

Although the debunking of the GamesFAQs post has proven heartbreaking for some of the community, below you’ll find the release date for Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.07 as the January patch.

What is the Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.07 release date?

The release date for Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.07 and the January patch could be January 22nd.

No exact release date for Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.07 was given, but CD Projekt RED’s CEO said the January patch will arrive within ten days.

These ten days should be from January 13th, so the 22nd is the latest you should probably expect the patch to come out although it could arrive sooner.

We don’t know what improvements update 1.07 will exactly make, but it’s one of two ‘significant’ patches that CD Projekt RED has said will make the game on PS4 and Xbox One perform much better and closer to the next-gen console version.

It’s true that CD Projekt RED have consistently provided updates, but the effectiveness of these patches has been inconsistent as the resolution of one problem has resulted in another according to the community which is incredibly split when it comes to the frequency of glitches and bugs.

Here’s hoping update 1.07 significantly improves Cyberpunk 2077 as intended.
