Is The Harder They Fall Netflix release date confirmed?

  • A release date for The Harder They Fall is yet to be confirmed but it will officially arrive on Netflix sometime in 2021.

Deadline noted in October 2020 that production in New Mexico stopped following a positive COVID test. They were roughly five weeks into filming and it’s uncertain when production resumed.

With this and post-production in mind, perhaps The Harder They Fall won’t arrive in the earlier months of 2021.

The film is an American western and stars Jonathan Majors as Nat Love, who rounds up the members of his former gang to seek revenge against those responsible for the murder of his parents.

The supporting cast features Idris Elba (Luther), Zazie Beetz (Atlanta), LaKeith Stanfield (Uncut Gems), Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods), Regina King (Watchmen) and more.

It was directed by Jeymes Samuel, who also served as a producer alongside Lawrence Bender, Jay-Z and James Lassiter.

Other Netflix movies coming in 2021

A recent trailer [see above] teasing Netflix’s 2021 slate gave audiences a glimpse of a number of films.

Addressing some of the year’s most anticipated, we have Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, which follows mercenaries as they orchestrate a heist on a Las Vegas casino amidst the zombie apocalypse.

Then there’s Red Notice, an action-comedy starring Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds, all of whom introduced the 2021 Netflix trailer.

A range of sequels are set to release too, including To All The Boys: Always And Forever and The Kissing Booth 3.

Another effort which has attracted significant attention is Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up, which will star Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Chris Evans, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Ariana Grande and more.

He previously helmed The Big Short and Vice; lots of star power in its favour. So, The Harder They Fall is set to be one of many big films for the streaming service this year!
