According to Fabrizio Romano on the Here We Go podcast, Liverpool are ‘looking at’ Lille and Portugal maestro Renato Sanches.
The Italian journalist revealed the information when speaking on his podcast, which was released earlier today.
The transfer specialist adds that Liverpool don’t plan on making a move this month, but are doing their preparation ahead of the summer.
Romano said: ‘Liverpool are not looking to sign Renato Sanches in January. They are looking at him for summer. He will be one of the main targets of all the top clubs in summer just like Dayot Upamecano.”
Now, this news should excite Liverpool supporters.
Why? Well, Sanches is an excellent player, and one who has the potential to flourish under Jurgen Klopp’s tutelage.

Things might not have worked out for him following a big-money move to Bayern Munich as a teenager, as well as a failed loan spell at Swansea.
However, the 23-year-old has rebuilt his career at Lille, a point proven by the fact the Premier League champions have been drawn to his displays.
So, what kind of player is Sanches?

Well, the Bundesliga’s official website made an interesting comparison after the 22-cap Portugal international joined Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga compare him to Dutch legend Clarence Seedorf, while also saying that Sanches possesses a ‘rocket of a shot’.
Furthermore, they add that, if he had wheels, he’d ‘probably be a bulldozer with a V8 engine’ – some very intriguing claims, it must be said.
