According to AS, Valencia are now looking to sign Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira as they search for a new midfielder.
The La Liga side have so far been focusing on signing Harry Winks, hoping to take the Tottenham man on loan for the rest of the season.
Earlier this week, Guillem Balague claimed that Tottenham’s terms were making a deal difficult, with a second offer on the table.

Tottenham seemingly aren’t keen to let Winks go this month, and that means Valencia have started looking elsewhere – but their hunt remains in North London, technically speaking.

It’s now suggested that Valencia want to land Torreira from Arsenal, even though he is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid.
Arsenal are allegedly worried that Torreira isn’t playing enough for Atletico, and Valencia have contacted sporting director Edu – who used to play for the Spanish side.
Other clubs in Spain want Torreira if his loan spell with Atletico comes to an end, but Tottenham’s stance on Winks may mean that the Uruguayan heads to Valencia.
Arsenal paid £26million for Torreira in 2018, and will want him to retain as much value as possible, which may be more likely if he plays at Valencia rather than sitting around at Atletico.
