Ben Jordan, a University of Kentucky baseball and basketball player passed away on Monday, January 11. He was 22 at the time of death.
Ben had managed to make his presence known in a short span of time. He showcased his talent in basketball and baseball. The news of his death left many shocked as several people took to social media to recall the legacy he was leaving behind.

His school confirmed his passing as they wrote, “We are deeply saddened to share news of the passing of Ben Jordan, a beloved member of both the @UKBaseball (2018-2021) and @KentuckyMBB (2019-20) teams. We offer our condolences to the family and friends of Ben. He will forever be in our hearts.”
At the same time, Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari also broke his silence on Ben’s passing. “Our hearts are broken today,” he said. “It is difficult for me to express and to put into words what a tragedy it is to lose a young person too early. Ben impacted our team last season in so many ways with his kind heart, his big smile and his wonderful personality. He cared so deeply about this place and it meant so much to him to be a part of this team.”
