Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers got married on May 22nd 2010. They met in 2006 through a mutual friend, who had planned an ‘adventure day,’ for the group. Speaking about it, Armie told Vulture:

“Our friendship continued to grow and grow until one day when I was like, ‘I can’t be friends with you anymore. You’ve got to break up with your boyfriend, and we’ve got to start dating,’.”

The pair have two children together: Harper Grace Hammer and Ford Armand Douglas Hammer.

Harper was born in 2014, and Ford was born in 2017.

On July 10th 2020, Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers both announced on their Instagram accounts that they had split up. They wrote:

“Thirteen years as best friends, soulmates, partners and then parents.
It has been an incredible journey, but together, we’ve decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage. As we enter into this next chapter, our children and relationship as co-parents and dear friends will remain our priority.”

They continued:

“We understand this news lends itself to public dialogue, but in the interest of our children and our family, we’re asking for privacy, compassion and love during this time.”
