Genshin Impact was one of the best games of 2020 be it on console, PC, or mobile, and we received version 1.2 as an early Christmas gift to get Albedo and the Dragonspine area. Now the second part of the version is happening with the arrival of Ganyu, but some people are looking ahead into the further future and thus want to know the release date for update 1.3. Here you’ll find everything we know about the update 1.3 release date for Genshin Impact, and you’ll also find the leaked new character banners.
Before version 1.2 comes to an end and is followed next month, players should be aware that there’s a Lost Riches event with Iron Coins available until January 18th. This event provides players with the opportunity to get a Mini Seelie pet as a companion, so you won’t want to miss out if you want either a pink, blue, or golden circle following you about.
While the Mini Seelie pet is available for a limited time, below you’ll discover everything we know about the release date for Genshin Impact update 1.3, and you’ll also find the leaked new character banners.
Genshin Impact update 1.3 new characters
One of the new characters and banners for Genshin Impact update 1.3 according to leaks is Xiao.
In addition to Xiao, another one of the new characters and banners for Genshin Impact update 1.3 is rumoured to be Hu Tao.
It’s important to note that neither of these banners have been confirmed by miHoYo.
What we do know about update 1.3 is that it will come with an event named the Lantern Rite. Not much else has been confirmed other than a release window, but the prospect of Xiao and Hu Tao has fans excited.
Xiao was a playable character in the game’s closed beta, meanwhile Hu Tao has fans excited because of her leaked skills and famous Japanese voice actress.
When does Genshin Impact update 1.3 come out?
There is no release date for Genshin Impact update 1.3 other than February.
However, it’s possible that the Genshin Impact update 1.3 release date could be February 3rd.
This is because version 1.1 came out on November 11th with version 1.2 on December 23rd, and both of these days were Wednesdays.
In addition, miHoYo’s roadmap plans – for the first three patches at least – is to update the game every six weeks and February 3rd is six weeks from December 23rd. However, it could be seven weeks like version 1.2, so the date could instead be February 10th.
Again, the above is by no means official as the only confirmation we have from miHoYo is that the third version is planned for sometime in February.
However, the Ganyu banner is scheduled to end on the 2nd of next month, so update 1.3 shouldn’t be far too away.
