While the initial announcement of Genshin Impact resulted in an angry PS4 gamer smashing their console, the game was surprisingly one of the best of 2020, and its addictive combat and adorably cute characters have succeeded in taking over our lives. The game has been consistently updated since day one, and the Ganyu banner is now on the horizon. Here you’ll discover everything you must know about the Genshin Impact Ganyu banner including the blue-haired female’s skills and abilities, as well as the 4 stars characters available.
Update 1.2 has already given us Albedo and the Dragonspine area, and the blue-haired female warrior will fill the second half of the update. And, while her arrival is no doubt exciting, miHoYo’s roadmap for 2020 suggests that version 1.3 will come out in February, and leaks imply that we could be getting Xiao and Hu Tao.
Xiao and Hu Tao would both be exciting if true, but – for the here and now – below you’ll find the skills and abilities for Ganyu in Genshin Impact, and you’ll also find the 4 stars characters who are a part of her banner.
Genshin Impact Ganyu banner 4 stars characters
The Ganyu banner in Genshin Impact comes with 4 stars characters.
While Ganyu herself is 5 stars, the 4 stars characters who will be part of the Genshin Impact banner are as follows:
The above 4 stars characters has resulted in some criticism because Xinqiu and Noelle were part of the Klee banner, as well as because Noelle and Xiangling were once freebies during the game’s launch.
This means that they’re playable heroes who have been relatively frequent in the past, and this has resulted in some of the community being disappointed as the banner feels pointless aside from Ganyu.
Genshin Impact Ganyu skills and abilities
There are many skills and abilities for Ganyu in Genshin Impact.
MiHoYo’s character overview for Ganyu in Genshin Impact shows her hobbies and story, but it also shows her skills and abilities such as Trail of the Qiln.
She is a Cryo character who utilises a bow, and her normal attack performs up to six consecutive shots with her bow.
Her charged attack performs a more precise shot with increased DMG, and charge level 1 will simply deal Cryo DMG, meanwhile level 2 will fire a Frostflake arrow which deals Cryo and Cryo AoE DMG.
In regard to talents, the Trail of the Qiln leaves a single Ice Lotus to deal AoE DMG as Ganyu dashes backwards.
This Ice Lotus continuously attracts the attention and attacks of nearby enemies, and its endurance is dependent on Ganyu’s max HP. It also deals significant AoE DMG when destroyed.
MiHoYo’s character overview shows that another talent as part of Ganyu’s skills and abilities is Celestial Shower.
This results in the summoning of a Sacred Cryo Pearl that exorcises evil, and – while active – this Pearl will continuously rain down shards of ice to strike opponents within its AoE to deal Cryo DMG.
