Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers will reportedly need to make a move soon if they want to sign Mohamed Simakan from Strasbourg in the January transfer window.
Both Villa and Wolves have been linked with Simakan, but it seems that it is Italian and European giants AC Milan who have made the first step.
TMW reported in December 2020 that Everton and Wolves are interested in the 20-year-old defender.

The 20-year-old’s agent, agent Francesco di Frisco, told Calciomercato in October 2020 that Villa were among the clubs interested in the youngster in the summer of 2020, and that he expects the Villans to ” push again” in January 2021, as covered by HITC Sport.

Sky Sports are now reporting that at least four unnamed Premier League clubs are monitoring the Frenchman, but Milan have already made a bid for him, although it is short of what Strasbourg are looking for.
One for the future
Simakan has established himself as an important player for Strasbourg, but he is still only 20 years of age and is one for the long term for Villa and Wolves.
According to WhoScored, the Frenchman has scored one goal and provided one assist in 19 Ligue 1 matches so far this season.
Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa are doing well for Villa, while Conor Coady, Willy Boly and Romain Saiss are strong at the back for Wolves.
