According to 90min, Paris Saint-Germain are open to letting Julian Draxler leave in January, amid reported interest from Leeds United.

It has been reported that PSG will not stand in Draxler’s way if he wants to leave the club, with his current contract running out at the end of the season.

Leeds United’s interest

The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Leeds have discussed the possibility of bringing Draxler to Elland Road in the January transfer window.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano told GiveMeSport last week that Leeds will consider a move for the 27-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, if PSG are willing to send him out on loan.

Do Leeds United need Julian Draxler?

Described as a “coveted” player by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi on in January 2017, Draxler has not had the best of times on a personal level at the French club, as he has failed to establish himself as a key figure in the team.

While the 27-year-old is a big name in world football, Leeds have some very good attacking players, such as Pablo Hernandez, Rodrigo and Raphinha.

True, Draxler would make the Whites stronger in attack and would be a blockbuster signing, but the Premier League club do not exactly need him right now.
