Leeds United looked into signing some creative midfielders over the summer, and it may still be an area they look to improve.
The Whites pursued Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul, and then scrapped a deal for Michael Cuisance before he joined Marseille.
Marcelo Bielsa may still fancy adding a midfielder this month, and Riqui Puig is one of the most interesting names linked.
90Min reported in November that Leeds have been offered the chance to sign Puig on loan, with the youngster struggling for playing time at Barcelona.
Puig has long been considered as a star of the future at Barca, but he has yet to start a single La Liga or Champions League game under Ronald Koeman.

The 21-year-old has only managed 96 minutes of action across five substitute appearances, and a move to Leeds would surely give him a greater chance of playing regularly.
Now, Koeman has been quoted by the Daily Mail as saying that he has nothing against Puig despite him barely playing this season.
Koeman added that Puig is the one who has to decide his future, seemingly failing to rule out the idea of him leaving amid those links to Leeds.
