Report: Rangers interested in Kyle Joseph

Rangers are interested in bringing Kyle Joseph to Ibrox, according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 58, January 10, 2021).

It has been reported that Rangers are working on a pre-contract for the Wigan Athletic forward, who is out of contract at the English club at the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the 19-year-old, according to the report, which has added that Wigan value the teenager at £1 million.

Joseph is a very talented and promising young forward who has a bright future ahead of him.

Tottenham’s reported interest in the Scotland Under-19 international underlines his quality, and Rangers could be signing a gem.

A pre-contract agreement now would make sense, as Rangers are not exactly in need of another attacking player rightaway.

According to WhoScored, the Scotland Under-19 international striker has made nine starts and two substitute appearances in League One for the Latics so far this season, scoring four goals in the process.

Rangers have four senior strikers in Kemar Roofe, Jermain Defoe, Alfredo Morelos and Cedric Itten.
