Celtic have 13 players currently self-isolating

Kris Boyd has expressed concern regarding Shane Duffy’s inclusion in Celtic’s starting lineup against Hibs.
Duffy left Celtic’s training camp in Dubai early, and took his place in the heart of the defence as part of a depleted side on Monday night.
That lack of resources was due to 13 players being forced to self-isolate in the wake of Christopher Jullien’s positive test for Covid-19.
Manager Neil Lennon and his assistant John Kennedy are both also self-isolating.

Speaking on Sky Sports, former Rangers striker Boyd said: “I”m going to read something out, and it’s a worry.
“This is Celtic’s own words. ‘Shane Duffy had a couple of personal things he had to leave Dubai for, following the Covid protocols. He will have to miss the Hibs game, because he left the club’s bubble. From then on, he will be in our thoughts for games, but we just have to give him time to sort things out’.
“He’s playing tonight.”

Boyd’s fellow Sky Sports pundit Andy Walker was unimpressed with the club, saying: “The whole makeup of this club is social responsibility. A bit of understanding of what the supporters are going through.
“They can’t see their families, and Celtic are jetting off to Dubai. And they still think it’s the right thing to do.
“Dermot Desmond needs to get on this case and make things happen. It’s completely unacceptable the way that Celtic have behaved here.
“I want them to show a bit of contrition. I want them to show a bit of understanding that some Celtic supporters can’t see their grandchildren. Haven’t seen them for 10 months.
“Others can’t see their families, and Celtic are being so arrogant. This is not the club that I played for. There was no arrogance, and that is what is underpinning this whole debacle here. Arrogance.”

Duffy looked like he was on course for a clean sheet, but Kevin Nisbet secured a point for Hibs in injury time,
The home side, who were overseen for the night by Gavin Strachan had taken the lead with nine minutes remaining.
David Turnbull produced a moment of magic nine minutes from time to put Celtic ahead with a superb free-kick, but that late Nisbet goal dealt another blow to Celtic’s title ambitions.
That result reduces the gap at the top of the Premiership to 21 points, with Celtic having three games in hand.
