Traore scored the only goal in Wolves’ 1-0 win against Crystal Palace at home in the third round of the FA Cup on Friday evening.
The former Barcelona and Aston Villa winger found the back of the net in the 35th minute with a superb left-footed drive.
After the match at the Molineux Stadium, Wolves boss Nuno raved about the 24-year-old winger.
According to Eurosport, Leeds are interested in signing Traore from Premier League rivals Wolves in the January transfer window.
The report has claimed that the West Yorkshire club’s director of football, Victor Orta, is driving the interest. The 24-year-old himself is claimed to be interested in leaving Wolves this month.
Nuno told Wolves’ official website about Traore last night: “A special goal from a special player. I’m very happy for him because I think this goal will boost his confidence. It was a cramp, but he’s a very special player, who is explosive with his actions.
“He’s very difficult and we just didn’t want to push him anymore because we have a very tight schedule in front of us with some very tough games. Let’s see how he is now, let’s assess him, but besides the goal, he worked very well for the team, and this is what pleases me the most.
“He’s been trying [to shoot with his left foot] and he’s really trying harder in training sessions and that’s why I’m so happy because he’s got a will to improve, which is amazing.
“Adama is a versatile player and he can play in a couple of positions in the pitch, and one thing he shows every time he’s on the pitch is that he causes a tremendous impact on our opponent.”
Leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers for Leeds United
Traore is a very good winger who can make a huge impact coming off the substitutes’ bench.
With Wolves aiming to finish in the European places in the Premier League table, it is hard to see manager Nuno willing to sell him in the middle of the season.
Moreover, Leeds already do have some quality attacking players, such as Rodrigo, Pablo Hernandez and Raphinha.
