Roma will sell reported Leicester City and West Ham United target Amadou Diawara if they receive an offer from a Premier League club this month, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.

The former Napoli ace may want to stay and fight for his place at Roma – he hardly sounds like a man pushing for a fresh start – but it seems the decision may be taken out of his hands.

Diawara has fallen well down the pecking order at Stadio Olimpico this season.

His only Serie A start in 2020/21 came on the opening day and he has played just one minute of league football since mid-December.

Now, Corriere dello Sport claims Roma won’t stand in Diawara’s way if the youngster is offered the chance to swap the Giallorossi bench for a chance in the Premier League.

According to Calciomercato, Leicester and West Ham are both willing to invest £18 million in the 23-year-old Guinea international. Diawara is a deep-lying number six who tends to keep things neat and tidy at the base of midfield.

What’s more, Roma have already chosen his replacement – Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez.

In August, Diawara’s agent told TMW that Arsenal were interested too and, despite bringing in Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid on deadline day, a move to the Emirates is still a possibility – according to Forza Roma anyway.

Diawara could potentially replace Mo Elneny amid claims the Egyptian could be on his way back to Turkey, while Lucas Torreira is also expected to depart on a permanent basis.
