West Ham United fans do not appear keen on the idea of selling Issa Diop to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Daily Mirror (page 47, 05/01/2021) claims that Tottenham are lining up an offer for the central defender, who has fallen out of favour with David Moyes’s side this season.
However, despite his lack of game time, West Ham fans are still eager for the Frenchman to be kept around.
Jose Mourinho has publicly praised Diop before, so it is no surprise to see Tottenham linked with the defender.
But whether Spurs will actively go after the 23-year-old remains to be seen.
Tottenham do seem to want to add another central defender, although Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld have formed a relative solid partnership in recent weeks.
Spurs have given up very few opportunities and if Diop did make the move across London he may only be swapping a seat on West Ham’s bench for a spot on Tottenham’s.
