Celtic are currently on a controversial break in the UAE

Celtic’s decision to post pictures from their Dubai training camp has met with a withering response from supporters.
The journey to Dubai itself was the cause of much debate, with many feeling that the trip was inappropriate in the middle of a pandemic and with Celtic currently 19 points behind in the title race.
Defeat against Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday was a huge blow to their dream of securing a historic tenth successive title, and if Rangers beat Aberdeen on Sunday the gap will be 22 points before Celtic’s next fixture.
While Celtic have visited Dubai in the past, it has been during a winter shutdown. With no other Premiership sides making similar journeys and the new coronavirus strain leading to severe restrictions in Scotland, pictures of Neil Lennon’s men in Dubai have been met with disapproval.
Providing a glimpse into the “tough first Hoops training session”, Celtic’s Twitter account shared images of the likes of Vasilis Barkas, Kris Ajer and captain Scott Brown.
Naturally, a significant proportion of the responses are not suitable for publication, but it’s safe to say that many supporters have not taken kindly to the images or the accompanying caption.
