Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are admirers of John Lundstram of Sheffield United, according to The Athletic.
However, according to the report, Rangers will face competition from clubs in the Premier League if they are to make a move for the midfielder in the January transfer window.
The report has added that the 26-year-old midfielder, who is out of contract at the Blades at the end of the season, could cost £4 million this month.
Rangers were linked with the United midfielder in the summer of 2020. The Star reported in August that the Scottish giants were among the clubs interested in securing the services of the 26-year-old.

According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old midfielder made 21 starts and 15 substitute appearances in the Championship for the Blades in 2017-18, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the process, and made 26 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring five goals and providing three assists in the league.
So far this season, the English midfielder has made nine starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chris Wilder’s side, according to WhoScored.
