Peter Lovenkrands has claimed on Twitter that Rangers star Allan McGregor is the greatest goalkeeper in the history of the Ibrox club.
The former Rangers star made the claim about McGregor following the Scottish goalkeeper’s performance against Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Saturday afternoon.
The 38-year-old goalkeeper was in top form, as Steven Gerrard’s side got the better of Celtic 1-0 at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby to go 19 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
McGregor made brilliant saves to deny Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths and played a big role in the win for Rangers.
Best ever Rangers goalkeeper?
McGregor is in his second spell as Rangers goalkeeper and is arguably the best in the Scottish Premiership at the moment.
The Scotsman may be 38 years of age, but he is going strong as ever and remains as good as he was in his first spell at Ibrox.
While Lovenkrands considers McGregor as the greatest every goalkeeper of Rangers, there will be others who will rate Andy Goram, Stefan Klos and Chris Woods ahead of him.
