Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter after noticing how Jose Mourinho stared at Matt Doherty during the 3-0 win over Leeds earlier today.
The right-back – who Spurs paid £14.7 million for – received a second yellow card in stoppage time of the win over Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Doherty received his marching orders after treading on the foot of Pablo Hernandez.
After he was sent off, the Republic of Ireland international stood by the dugout instead of heading straight down the tunnel.
That is where Tottenham fans noticed Mourinho staring at him in the 93rd minute, seemingly in disgust.
Imagine how the former Real Madrid boss would’ve looked at Doherty if he had cost Spurs the three points!

In fairness to Mourinho, we too would be annoyed at the 28-year-old.
Having been selected in Serge Aurier’s absence, it was a real chance for Doherty to impress and kick on in the starting XI.
Now, however, the Irishman will miss the next game.
That’s a real shame for the Tottenham No.2, as he has only started eight of Spurs’ 16 Premier League games this term.

Aurier has also started eight Premier League games, so one of the two right-backs needs to impress Mourinho enough to be considered his outright first-choice.
Judging by the way the Portuguese coach looked at Doherty, however, we don’t think he’s too happy with him.
Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying…
