Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to congratulate Heung-min Son after he scored his 100th Tottenham goal against Leeds on Saturday afternoon.

The South Korea international finished off a superb ball from Harry Kane in the 43rd minute to hand Jose Mourinho’s side a 2-0 lead.

Shortly after Lineker’s tweet, the north Londoners further extended their advantage thanks to Toby Alderweireld’s goal.

You can see what Lineker tweeted in full below.

As the BBC Match of the Day host states, the former Bayer Leverkusen attacker truly has been a ‘wonderful’ addition to English football.

The mesmeric Tottenham forward reached his landmark tally in just 253 games for the club, averaging a goal every 2.53 games.

He also cost just £22 million – you cannot deny that Son has been one of the best signings across Europe in the last decade.

He could also be closing in on another landmark, as his partnership with Kane continues to blossom.

As things stand, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard linked up for the most Premier League goal contributions ever with 36 as a result of their partnership.

On December 7th, the Premier League’s official website posted a table showing that aforementioned information, where Son and Kane sat on 31.

After today’s link-up, the Spurs pair are closing in on the Chelsea duo’s record.

At this rate, Son and Kane could even find themselves top of that table before the current campaign is even over.
