Rangers are believed to be keen on the Charlton youngster
Rangers are reported to have joined Celtic in the chase for Alfie Doughty.
The Charlton Athletic youngster has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the League One club, and Glasgow could be his next destination.
21-year-old Doughty made his debut for the Addicks against MK Dons in August 2018, and has gone on to make 41 appearances for the club.
The midfielder has also spent time on loan at Isthmian League Premier Division side Kingstonian and National League team Bromley.
Celtic have been credited with an interest in Doughty for some time, with Record Sport reporting that Neil Lennon has been interested since the summer.
The Athletic have now thrown Rangers into the mix, setting the scene for a potential clash between Lennon and Steven Gerrard in the January transfer window.
They also report interest in the player from English Premier League side Fulham.
Doughty won Charlton’s Young Player of the Year award for 2019/20.
