According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund are plotting a deal to sign Jayden Braaf from Manchester City – with the aim of him being the next Jadon Sancho.

It’s claimed that Dortmund have been watching Braaf ‘for a long time’, and are ‘very interested’ in bringing him to Germany.

There has been no agreement with Braaf or City themselves though, with a push for his signature potentially on the horizon.

City would allegedly want between €8million and €10million (£7.2million and £9million) for Braaf, but the success of Sancho with Dortmund means City are adamant about one thing this time.

They want a buy-back option in any deal for Braaf, as they don’t want to see him leave and become a star with Dortmund like Sancho has.

City lost Sancho due to a lack of first-team opportunities under Pep Guardiola, and would likely have to pay more than ten times what they sold him for to get him back.

City won’t want to do the same with Braaf, who has yet to make the step up under Guardiola and has played just one Premier League 2 games this season.

The 18-year-old is an exciting winger and could have a big future, so don’t be surprised to see him kick on and thrive if he gets move away from City – and joining Sancho at Signal Iduna Park has to be appealing for the Dutchman.
