Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard will lead the line again for Celtic this afternoon as Neil Lennon persists with two upfront.

The two forwards worked together impressively in Saturday’s 3-0 win against Hamilton Accies, and with Saturday’s crucial derby at Ibrox fast approaching Lennon has given the partnership another runout.

The big news, however, is that goalkeeper Vasilis Barkas has returned to the starting XI.

Scott Brown and an emotional Celtic farewell

Conor Hazard drops down to the bench, with Scott Brown and Shane Duffy also among the substitutes as they return from injury.

Confidence is beginning to grow again at Celtic, with that victory at the weekend their third straight win in the Premiership.

Another victory today is vital in terms of building momentum, and Lennon will be hopeful that the 16-point gap in the title race might shrink today with Rangers facing a potentially tricky match against St Mirren in Paisley.

Dundee United are the visitors today, and Celtic will be hoping for a more comfortable afternoon than the one they endured when the two sides last met.

On that occasion, the sides were level until seven minutes from time when Albian Ajeti won it for Celtic with the game’s only goal.

Here’s how Celtic line up against Micky Mellon’s side this afternoon.

STARTING XI: Barkas, Jullien, Griffiths, Soro, Turnbull, Christie, Edouard, Frimpong, Ajer, McGregor, Laxalt

SUBS: Hazard, Taylor, Duffy, Bitton, Brown, Ajeti, Rogic, Johnston, Elyounoussi
