Billie Eilish shared some of her drawings on Instagram, revealing to the world a beautiful sketch of a series of nude women, but it’s had mixed reactions.

Singer Billie Eilish is no stranger to Instagram, often sharing details about her life with her 73 million followers. However, whilst most of her followers love her alternative style and charisma, having such a large following also subjects her to online hate.

On Tuesday (December 29th), Billie took part in a popular Instagram challenge and was requested to post a photo of her own sketches, to which she responded with a drawing of a naked female body.

However, it’s caused quite a stir on social media. Whilst some fans adore the empowering images, others weren’t best pleased, and she lost a lot of followers over it.

Billie Eilish posts nude drawing on Instagram

As we approach the end of 2020, many people are taking part in the ‘post a photo of’ challenge on Instagram which sees people asking their followers to request a specific photo that they will then post onto their story.

One person who decided to take part in the popular trend is Billie Eilish, little did she know it would cause such a stir.

A fan asked Billie to post a photo of a “drawing you are really proud of”, to which she replied by posting a pencil-drawn sketch of a series of nude female bodies.

She captioned the image: “Probably this lol I love boobs.”

Billie also posted a photo of her lock screen, a green painting of another naked woman.

Billie loses 100,000 followers

After posting the photos, fans noticed that Billie Eilish’s Instagram follower count went from 73 million to 72.9 million, revealing that she had lost up to 100,000 followers due to the nude drawings.

One fan said on Twitter: “Wow, 100K followers really unfollowed @billieeilish for posting a drawing? Wow, people are so fragile.”

“Apparently Billie Eilish lost 100K followers for posting a picture of her drawings (of boobs). Whaaattt? Why?” said another.

However, Billie’s loss of followers was short-lived, because a day later she’s gained back her 73 million followers again.

Fans react to Billie Eilish’s drawing

Whilst there were a few haters (100,000 to be exact!), most of Billie’s followers loved the empowering nude photos, and many people have taken to Twitter to react to them.

One Twitter user said: “Billie Eilish posting a pic of her drawing boobs with the caption ‘lol i love boobs’ is honestly what we needed to fix 2020.”

Many people want to date Billie after seeing the beautiful drawings. “Billie eilish saying she loves boobs on her story… ok so when r we dating girlie,” said another fan.

Others began to criticise fans who unfollowed her, claiming that Billie should be able to draw whatever she wants to draw.

Another person tweeted: “Leave @billieeilish to draw whatever she want to draw. Some of y’all posting or sharing y’all’s real bodies and then have the nerve of judging her for a drawing.”

Billie Eilish certainly didn’t seem bothered by the backlash though, and she took to her Instagram story once more to post a screenshot of her lost followers with the caption: “LMFAOOO y’all babies smh [two skull emojis].”
