Glenn Hoddle has suggested on his self-titled podcast that Tottenham Hotspur or Everton should sign James Ward-Prowse from Southampton.
Ward-Prowse has been in hugely impressive form this season, with his set-pieces proving a major threat.
The England international has four goals and three assists to his name in 15 matches, and Hoddle thinks that he could be a huge asset to either Tottenham or Everton.
“I think his all round game has come on leaps and bounds, but as a set piece artist there is no-one better,” Hoddle said.
“He’d be a major asset for Tottenham, for instance. Or he could go and play in Everton’s team tomorrow.
“Whether he has the mentality, you don’t know until he goes to a big club. But he’s been in and around the England squad and I think he’s growing as a player.”
Southampton would surely be reluctant to sell Ward-Prowse if a bid came in for him, but they have shown that they are willing to sell their top stars for a price in recent times.

If Ward-Prowse was to move to Tottenham then it could spell bad news for some of their current players, though.
His arrival would surely knock Harry Winks even further down the pecking order, while Dele Alli could also face even more limited game time.
Tottenham do seem to have their eyes on bringing in a midfielder over the summer, but their efforts appear more focused on signing Marcel Sabitzer from RB Leipzig than Ward-Prowse at this moment in time (BILD).
