A new TikTok trend sees people completing a test that determines just how innocent they really are… here’s how to take the Innocent Test.
Back in the 80s, the famous Rice Purity Test was invented. It started as a survey of 100 questions at Rice University in Houston, Texas that were designed to assess a person’s innocence in relation to a number of different topics such as sex, drugs and crime.
Then, the Rice Purity Test went viral on the internet earlier this year and began being used by friends to gain an innocence percentage. However, a group of TikTok users argued that the Rice Purity Test is very outdated and decided to create a new version.
Now, the brand new Innocence Test is going viral on TikTok.
What is the Innocence Test?
The Innocence Test is a series of 100 statements that all relate to different vices that people do in life. Some examples include ‘smoked a cigarette’, ‘snuck out’ or ‘had a fake ID’.
To complete the test, you must tick every statement that you’ve done before, leaving the ones that you’ve never done unticked. Then, your results are calculated and the test will tell you how many of the 100 statements you ticked.
It will then determine how innocent you are and give you a nickname such as ‘angel’ or ‘wild child’ as well as a description.
The test follows exactly the same format at the Rice Purity Test but the statements are just a little more updated and apply to life in the 21st century.

Who created the Innocence Test?
The test was created by two young American girls who go by the names of @50shades_of_grace and @ellemn0 on TikTok.
They noticed that the Rice Purity Test was really outdated, so decided to make an updated version, but they never expected it to become as popular as it has.
The Innocence Test has been taken 1.3 million times in just 24 hours and is continuing to go viral on TikTok.
