Andy Cole lauded the qualities of Sadio Mane and claimed on talkSPORT that he has ‘absolutely everything’.

Whilst Jurgen Klopp has had to brush off claims about Mo Salah’s future at Anfield [Sky Sports], Cole thinks Mane is the one Liverpool fans need to worry about.

Mane netted for Liverpool over the weekend as they recorded a 1-1 draw against West Brom.

Cole scored some quite spectacular goals during his days in the Premier League and he is now an admirer of Liverpool’s free-scoring forward.

“What a touch [for his goal against WBA], his first touch on his chest is a joke,” said Cole. “Absolute joke then the finish on the volley. Quality.

“He is absolutely quality. I cannot believe he only has six goals [this season]. He has got everything. Absolutely everything.

“Nevermind about them worrying about Salah possibly moving on. I think they need to worry about this kid moving on. I think he’s fantastic.”

Liverpool’s trophies under Jurgen Klopp

  1. Champions League

    2018/19

  2. UEFA Super Cup

    2019

  3. FIFA Club World Cup

    2019

  4. Premier League

    2019/20

It could be argued that during Liverpool’s recent dominant period – winning the Champions League and the Premier League – that he has perhaps been his side’s best player.

John Barnes would perhaps be considered as Liverpool’s greatest ever left-sided attacker, but Mane might now overtake him.

For some Liverpool fans, he probably already has, which is some going, but it does seem as though by the time his career ends on Merseyside, he could rightfully put his name in the club’s greatest ever XI.
