Over the past year, a number of different filters have become popular on TikTok that enable to your turn yourself into a cartoon. Recently, this Snapchat filter went viral that makes you look like you’ve stepped right out of a Disney movie, whilst this Anime filter turns you into a real-life Japanese manga character.

However, TikTok’s latest cartoon filter isn’t about turning yourself into an animation, it’s about turning objects into cartoons! Yes, it’s just as hilarious as it sounds, and here’s how to find it.

What is the TikTok Cartoonify Filter?

TikTok has just added a brand new effect to the app called Cartoonify, and it’s proving to be really popular amongst users.

Essentially, it allows you to turn real-life objects into cartoons by giving it a face, arms and legs.

How to get the Cartoonify Effect on TikTok

  • Open TikTok and tap the ‘+’ to create a new video.
  • Click ‘Effects’ on the left hand side of the camera button.
  • Press ‘Trending’.
  • Search through the trending effects until you find the one that has a cartoon face on a beige background (see image below).
  • Click on the filter and apply it to your chosen object.

Can’t find the filter?

Many TikTok users have reported being unable to find the Cartoonify Effect on TikTok – but why?

If you can’t find it, the filter might not be available in your region. Many people in the USA and the UK have claimed that they are unable to use the filter.

It is currently unknown whether TikTok will be expanding the effect to be available worldwide.
