According to The Athletic, Liverpool want to raid Arsenal for teenage striker Folarin Balogun amid contract uncertainty.
Balogun is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning he can negotiate a pre-contract with non-English clubs from January 1st.
It’s claimed that the door is still open for Balogun to stay at Arsenal, but there is a huge distance between the striker and the Gunners when it comes to terms.
The report notes that is now ‘increasingly likely’ to leave the club at the end of the season, and Liverpool are looking to lure him over to Anfield.
A pre-contract with a German club is thought to be appealing, and it will now be interesting to see whether Liverpool make a January bid for the striker before other clubs can make their move.
Balogun, 19, has hit four goals and two assists in 10 Premier League 2 games, as well as bagging two goals and one assist in four Europa League outings.

The teenage striker is clearly a huge talent, but unless Arsenal can convince him that he will have a pathway to first-team football under Mikel Arteta if he is to stay.
Liverpool making a move would be reminiscent of them swooping for Dominic Solanke when his Chelsea contract was running down, and Balogun may now be offered the same chance to switch London for Merseyside.
