Speaking on Sky Sports’ YouTube channel, Heung-Min Son has made the audacious claim that Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is the best manager in the world.

The South Korean was being asked a multitude of questions that fans had submitted, and understandably, one supporter wanted to get Son’s view on the argument that Mourinho is the best manager on the planet.

Son was asked whether or not he thinks Mourinho is the best gaffer in the world, to which he replied:

“Obviously, I would have to say yes, because look at his success and he’s been incredible, even when he came to Tottenham I couldn’t believe when I met him on the first day.”

Son went on to speak about how he felt when he first met Mourinho, before getting back to the original point about Mourinho being the best in the world.

“I think, look at him he’s successful in every single trophy and he’s been successful everywhere he’s been, and I think he’s one of the best managers in the world.”

Son may have felt a bit pressured to say Mourinho is the best in the world, after all, he is his current boss, but you have to say this is a fair argument.

There are very few managers in history with a CV as impressive as the Portuguese boss’, and he’s doing a wonderful job with Tottenham this season, taking them to a cup semi-final and competing in the title race.

Of course, we’re sure that the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp would have something to say about this, but you can’t be too peeved with Son’s view that Tottenham’s gaffer is the best on the planet.
